Artist Statement

“My artistic background consists primarily of illustration-based artwork; it drives my interest in the relationship between garment and surface design. This investigation presents itself in my practice as I transfer illustrative marks onto cloth through handprinted designs. My tailored garments contrast the quick process of textile printing and combine whimsical patterns with formal silhouettes.”
