Artist Statement

“My artistic background consists primarily of illustration-based artwork. I am able to incorporate this into my current textile practice through pattern design as a form of mark-making on cloth. My garment design work opposes the, comparatively, quick process of textile printing as I often employ tailoring as a design element. My finished garments combine whimsical patterns and colors with formal silhouettes.”
